West Town Rock Fest Hit's The High Notes 18-08-2009
The West Town management team of Carol and Roger staged the annual Rock Fest in aid of Hayling Community Responders and raised a magnificent £1,155. Not only did they provide the much appreciated funds but also put on a marvelous day for all those who attended. Also deserving an equally big mention and thanks are the many acts that gave their time freely - they were:

Responders Take The Raft Race Honours (Again)!! 28-07-2009
It was déjà-vue for your Community Responders team in the annual Ship Inn Raft Race as they fought hard to finish in front of the field much as they did in 2007. This year the raft took on a Viking theme with the team bedecked in sacks and horned hats. As in previous years the race was preceded by the usual inter crew rivalry involving water balloons and flour with Nettie our very own bomb magnet. The team took the lead early and finished clear winners by the race end. A good day for all with lots of money going to charity –
RESPONDER DISPLAY & EDUCATION TRAILER 01-06-2009
Following on from the successful launch of the Responder DVD the Group has now commissioned the Community Responder Display and Education Trailer. The trailer was officially declared 'open for business' by the Lady Mayoress Councilor Jackie Branson at a ceremony held at the United Reform Church on Saturday 6 Jun 09.
The intention is to use the trailer at the various public functions on the island to increase awareness of the work of the Responders and increase basic First Aid skills.

In steps Bob & Lesley Ede of Bob Ede Tv. Not only do they step up to the bar and take on our filming requirements, they also donated all their time and expertise free of charge to Hayling Community responders.
